White Fillings
White Fillings are an excellent alternative to metal (amalgam) fillings. White fillings consist of a resin based material called composite. This composite is actually bonded to the tooth surface. This differs from metal fillings, which are only held in the tooth by undercuts in the cavity.

White fillings are shade matched to your tooth so that they blend in unnoticeably, giving a great cosmetic result. Many people opt for having their old metal fillings removed and replaced with white fillings to cosmetically improve their smile, or for health reasons in those patients who feel metal fillings are not suitable for them.
Here at the clinic, we use white fillings for the vast majority of all cases.
