Meet The Team

Will Shaw
Principal Dentist

Will graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2003.

Will enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, showing a particular interest in restorative cosmetic dentistry and in cosmetic orthodontics, and has undertaken extensive post graduate training in these areas.

He is extensively experienced in the use of Invisalign invisible braces and the Inman aligner. Will has a caring attitude to all patients and is particularly good with nervous patients and children.

Nicola Shaw
Dental Hygienist

Nicola has been in the dental industry for over 10 years.

After qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 2000, she then went on to qualify as a Dental Hygienist at the Liverpool School of Dental Hygiene in 2003. Nicola works along side our patients to prevent gum disease and promote excellent oral health.

Nicola prides herself in being a gentle and friendly hygienist, always gaining the trust of our nervous patients and improving their dental health.

Paula Mawson
Practice Manager

Paula joined the practice in 2008, but has worked with Will for five years at other practices.

Before working in the dental profession, Paula has gained a wealth of customer service experience from working in settings such as the British Airways first class lounge.

Paula enjoys creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere for the patients in the reception area.

Claire Eglin
Registered Dental Nurse

Claire qualified as a dental nurse in 1992 and joined the practice in 2008.

Claire has worked in a variety of settings from hospitals to specialist private practice. Claire is an NVQ assessor for a local dental training centre and has a national certificate in oral health education.

Whilst at the clinic, Claire ensures the clinic works to the highest standards of cross infection control, by keeping up to date with all the latest guidelines.

Gemma Merritt
Registered Dental Nurse

Gemma qualified as a dental nurse in 2007 and has worked with Will since he took over the clinic in 2007.

Gemma has obtained her dental nurse certificate in dental implantology from the Eastman dental institute.

Gemma has great experience working with nervous patients and children and is committed to keeping the cross infection control of the practice to the highest standards.

Sally Verity
Receptionist

Sally has worked at the clinic since 2005 and has built up a great rapport with our patients over this time.

Through establishing this relationship, she often helps to put people at ease before entering the surgery. Sally has past experience in the hotel industry which has enabled her to develop excellent customer care skills, which have proved invaluable at the clinic in the day to day management of patients.
