About implants

An implant is a replacement for the root of the tooth made of a very high grade titanium that is screwed into the jaw bone. The bone cells accept the screw and grow on to it locking it in place in a process called ‘osseointegration’.

There are numerous reasons why patients may require implants and these vary from accidents, disease, age or cosmetic reasons. Implants can be used to replace a single tooth or all of the teeth in one or both arches. They can also anchor a bridge and stabilise dentures. This will benefit patients in terms of aesthetics, function and comfort. We will assess and discuss your dental needs, medical conditions and options

Referrals

Susan is happy to accept referrals from other dentists. Referring dentists can be reassured that only treatment requested in a referral will be carried out and the patient will be referred back with the highest quality of treatment.
